Since I just began blogging about a month ago, this comes as both a surprise and an honor.  While it's a lot of fun to write about things I enjoy, it's even more exciting to build a following and share ideas with like-minded people.  Thank you, Jessie, for the award and the chance to spotlight bloggers who I find interesting.

(1) What is your current beauty obsession?

I'm loving the BB creams I bought in Korea. They make your skin look and feel great! Check out my review of the one I'm currently using. 

(2) Which is one beauty item you wished you owned?

I really want to invest in high-quality makeup brushes.

(3) What is your favorite post to read or write about?

I'm interested in many topics, but fashion blogs especially fascinate me.  I love to see what other people like, what they buy, and how they create outfits.  I get so many ideas, and it's just fun to look at their pictures and explore their point of view.

(4) What inspired you to become a blogger?

That's actually what my first blog was about!  I was reading The Secret (I will be writing a post about that soon.) and I thought a blog would be a great way to focus on the things I love and enjoy, and share these things so that other people could possibly enjoy them, too.   The thing that surprised me most when I started blogging was how much I learned from other bloggers!  I had found a lot of cool information from random blogs in the past, but I never followed anyone before.  Now, I have this whole collection of interesting, beautiful, and high-fashion people who comment on my posts, and share their ideas with me everyday on my dashboard.  I think I enjoy that aspect at least as much as I enjoy creating my own blogs!

What I Say:

I got a sample of this Shampoo and Conditioner for free in the mail. My sister is a hairstylist, and ever since she started in beauty school she became really adamant about me using high-quality hair products. Now that I regularly use professional products, I TOTALLY agree with her, and I see such a change in my hair.  When I mentioned that I got a free sample of this product she said Fructis products are terrible and cause build-up, so after the way she talked to me I had pretty low expectations for this shampoo and conditioner. But... 

I really liked this product!

Reasons why I liked it:

• It smelled great
• Thick creamy formula
• Great lather
• Made my hair feel clean and shiny
• Some shampoos make my fine thin hair very puffy, fly-away and weird-textured, this shampoo gave my hair a full, silky, and calm feel

Overall, it seemed to be a very good shampoo/conditioner, I would rate it better than some salon formulas I have tried.  To be fair, I did only try it for one day, so I can't speak on the build-up comment my sister made, nor can I say anything about the anti-breakage claims the product makes. That being said, I think this shampoo/conditioner is worth a try if you are looking for an economical brand.    

Fashion Ideas- Pretty Lace Dress

Styling for my Nude Lace Dress

I have had a little strapless nude lace dress for a very long time.  It is really pretty, but I just haven't found the right occasion to wear it yet.  It's a little too dressy and bare for more casual events, but not sexy enough for clubbing. Hopefully I'll get a chance to wear it out to dinner or to a party during the holidays this year.

Bargain Brag- Ross

Ross Dress for Less is probably my favorite place to shop these days.  There are two locations nearby my house and they are even open a little later than most of the stores in the area, which is convenient.  Ross is a discount store that carries name brand and department store merchandise for considerably less than department store prices.  Ross is similar to Marshall's and T.J. Maxx, and they tend to carry some of the same merchandise as those stores, but their prices are always slightly lower.  Marshall's and T.J. Maxx have a bigger selection, however.  Each Ross location has different merchandise, and some are better than others.  When I lived in Florida, the local Ross was a garbage dump, I never found anything there.  It seemed more like a thrift store than a Ross.  But the stores I shop here in Philly are very good and I always see at least a few standout items every visit (which is very often!). While you can get just about anything at Ross, my favorite thing to buy there is footwear. The selection is limited, so you can't shop with something specific in mind, but if you are open-minded, the shoes they carry are often good brand names and will cost you less than shoes from Forever 21!

Last night I snagged these really cute boots.   

They are called Fiesta, by Pink and Pepper.  I checked out the Pink and Pepper website and these shoes are currently selling for $69.00.

As you can see, the original Ross price was $24.99 and they were on sale for $16.99.  What a steal!!!

I love the spikes on the strap! They are really now, but also not over-the-top, making them very wearable and versatile. 

These boots definitely embody the idea I was going for in my "Good Girl Gone Bad" post.

B#%*h Stole My Look!

I really like celebrity fashion face offs, when they catch the same star wearing the same outfit, such as the segment called "B***** Stole My Look" on E's Fashion Police.  (One of my favorite TV shows!) Well, I happened to be flipping through the new looks on Lookbook just now and noticed these two girls were wearing the same skirt! Awkward!

Outfit of the Day- Low Key Saturday

Today I had to throw myself together quickly to go visit my grandma in the hospital (she's fine).  Afterwards my sister and I ate at a Chinese restaurant and did a little shopping.  I just wanted to be low key, comfortable, and appropriate for this chilly winter day so I threw on some gray skinny jeans, black ankle boots, and a plain black top.  I topped it off with my military-style wool trench, a burgundy scarf, and my Chanel bag.

Good Girl Gone Bad

I am not edgy, and I'll be the first to admit, there isn't a "bad-ass" bone in my body! I would describe my personal style as a mix between classic and girly, but lately I've really been liking some of the grunge-inspired rocker-chic styles that I've been seeing.  I really admire the edgy Los Angeles rocker-girl style.  So, I created this collection of funky finds that I could use to add a little wild to my tame style.
