This look is based on what I wore recently to a beef and beer fundraiser for the family of a friend.  I had to go from work to the benefit dinner, so I stuck to a classic and low key-yet pretty-style.

This is just an outfit I wore to class recently. For "Indian summer" days, I like to hang onto summer just a little longer by pairing a summer dress with more season appropriate pieces.

Outfit: Summer Into Fall

This is an outfit I wore recently to the last of the summer night markets in Chinatown.  It was still pretty warm, but beginning to be a little chilly in the evenings.  I paired a tribal print summer dress in Autumn tones with tights and a jean jacket for extra warmth.  I accessorized with tan knee boots and bag, and turquoise jewelry.

This is what I wore to see a couple of film festival movies yesterday.  I also went out to eat and did a bit of shopping.  This look worked really well since it was an artsy afternoon event and the weather was in between warm and cool.

Hi! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  This is a look I wore out last night.  The weather was beautiful, so I went and had dinner with some friends at a sidewalk cafe around my neighborhood.  

I wore this pretty top from Forever 21.  I paired it with the tan boots rather than the leopard pumps.  

Instead of my Chanel Earrings, I decided to wear these fun spike earrings from Gemzstyle.com.

Polyvore Looks: Stylish Stripes

My mind is always dreaming up new outfit combinations..it is like a sort of mental outfit math where I calculate different possibilities based on the specific pieces I have.  Sometimes when I come up with an idea for an outfit, or see an outfit I like on someone else, I quickly sketch it out.  Lately, though, I've created a lot of looks on Polyvore instead.  Polyvore just looks so much neater and more fashionable than a sketch, and I there is something enjoyable about tracking down items that are similar to mine and creating sets.  So, I thought I'd share a few outfits that I created based on striped items from my own closet.

Tomorrow, I had plans to see the Macy's light show (which is a holiday tradition here in Philly) and then head to the Christmas market at Love Park.  Unfortunately, the weather is supposed to be super cold and snowy, so we decided to hang in and bake some cookies instead.  This is what I'll be wearing.  I thought this outfit would be fitting for a cozy day at home with friends.

It has been quite awhile since I checked in... I have been really busy, but I will try to post more regularly. Hope all my readers are doing well. 

Thought I would just share a casual look I wore this weekend to do some shopping downtown.  My sister and I also grabbed a buy one get one free offer on holiday flavors at Starbucks. Yum!

This is what I wore to an outdoor club by the waterfront.  I decided to skip the sexy club wear and go for a sweet and summery look.

This is what I wore for a weeknight out with my girlfriends.  We caught a movie and went out for wings.  The colorfully printed summer dress was perfect for the nearly 100 degree weather!  I packed a little sweater in my bag for the air-conditioned movie theater.

I wore this outfit to watch fireworks over the waterfront.  Afterwards we stopped for a couple of drinks at a sidewalk cafe.

My favorite part of this outfit is my grandmother's gold baby locket.  My grandma turned 99 years old in May, so this locket is from 1914!  What I love most about the locket is that you can see dents from where she used to bite it when she was teething, which makes it even more precious in my eyes!  

  

Review: Clothingloves.com-Lion's Head Chain

Today I would like to share my experience ordering from clothingloves.com. 

I recently received this awesome lion's head chain from Clothingloves.com for review purposes.  I previously wrote a post about the site which you can check out HERE.  

In case you have never heard of Clothingloves, it is an online store that ships world-wide.  They sell a huge variety of discount clothing and jewelry items.  You can find anything from wholesale dresses to women's leggings, or even men's jackets.  Clothingloves has tons of really adorable and inexpensive clothes!  The style of women's clothing they sell is youthful, trendy, and fashion-forward.  And, if you like Asian-inspired fashion like I do, check out their sweet and pretty "Korean" style clothes and jewelry.  Here are just a few examples of items I like from Clothingloves.

So, on to my review...

My experience so far with clothingloves has been excellent.  They had good shipping and a great product.  I will definitely order from them in the future.  I recommend that you check them out!  

I placed my order and received my necklace in about 3 weeks.  This is quick considering that the company is based in China and I live in the US.  The amount of shipping time was about what I expected, or a little faster, based on my experience with Chinese sellers on Ebay.  (If it is your first time ordering internationally, it is good to keep in mind that the shipping will likely take longer than you are used to within your country.  This is also why the shipping charge might seem high compared to other domestic websites.)

My necklace was shipped in this bubble mailer to protect it.

It came neatly packed on a hanging card and in plastic wrapping.

The necklace was exactly as pictured on the clothingloves site!  My pictures don't even do this chain justice.

What was most impressive about this necklace is the weight.  The links and lion are solid and heavy.  It feels sturdy and high-quality.

This necklace has been showing up on all of the fashion blogs.  When I first ordered it, I had yet to see it in a local store.  Since I got my necklace, though, I have seen some similar chains popping up in discount junior's stores.  The price of those necklaces was similar to the price of mine, but the chains had thin cheap-looking links and the gold color was really orange.  The overall quality of the pieces could not begin compare to this one from clothingloves!
